The Law Office of Matthew L Sharp represents individuals injured by the unlawful conduct of others. We understand the increasing costs of college tuition makes it more difficult to graduate college for many outstanding students across the nation. Every year we offer a $1,000 scholarship to a student who submits the strongest essay focusing on the given topic.
This scholarship is open to any US citizen or permanent US resident who will be enrolled full-time in fall 2019 in an accredited community college or university (undergraduate or graduate), earning credits toward a degree (associate, baccalaureate, or graduate).
Write an essay on the following topic:
Over the last decade, teenage driving became a controversial topic. Many argue that states should implement stricter drivers license requirements and increase the legal driving age. What are alternative prevention methods each state can take to reduce crashes and injuries among young drivers?
Students who give us a social-media shoutout will be credited with one bonus point per social-media channel. The shoutout should include a link to the mattsharplaw.com website and a tag (link) to our respective Social Media Account. Please use the hashtag #sharplawscholarship2019 so we can find your account easier.
A Post should look like this (Facebook Example)
This is not a requirement and students without social media access will still be considered. Multiple shoutouts within the same social media channel are appreciated but will not result in additional points. We will not credit points for channels on which we are not active. Please find a list of our Social Media accounts below.
The decision of the committee is final. The winner will be notified via email or phone by September 1, 2019. The funds will be disbursed directly to the college or university to be used for tuition only. The winning essay may be published at mattsharplaw.com.
Our scholarship recipient will also be asked to submit a current photo to be published in an announcement to recognize this year’s winner on our website.
By submitting your application, you consent to Law Offices of Matthew L. Sharp publishing your essay and picture on mattsharplaw.com. Law Offices of Matthew L.
